I came back from Honduras with.....

A nasty rash.... ON MY FACE. hahhahahah

It is so embarrassing. I have lived on benadryl and the second I think its getting better, it flares up. Ummmm, gross.

Any home remedies???

Oh and I also cut my eye lashes with my eye lash curler. I know, why was I curling my eye lashes in Honduras..... well I was and it is just something we are all going to have to live with. I love eye lash curlers.

I had a great time and promise to post pictures soon!

Kasey- Hope the b.day party went well.
Tara- Let me know when you want to skype but please don't scream when you see my face.

First Day of School

Today was our first day of school. Kelly and Madi were so excited!!

Kelly was up and dressed by 7:15. Madi in her special sweet way took a little longer to be ready but no less excited than Kelly. She had her backpack, her new shoes with socks in her backpack for PE, lunch box and nap mat. I look her up and down and realize as she is about to walk out the door that she has no shoes on. Now I know that I have asked her multiple times to get her flip flops on and even told her which ones to wear. So our first crisis of the year, Madi can't find any flip flops even though I know they are all on the back of her door. Anyway, here they are first day of school pictures:

The case of the missing sippy cups

So one of the nice things about living a simple life is that you know just about everything you have or don't have.  For instance, I bought 4 sippy cups to get us through until we get into our permanent house.  Our temporary house consists of a pack-n-play, 2 air up twin mattresses for Liam, 2 air up queen size mattresses for Jason and I, a bag of toys, clothes, toiletries, a variety of disposable plates, forks, etc. and 4 sippy cups...sooo how is it that we have lost 2 sippy cups.  And I know...I just KNOW that they have milk in them somewhere.  Off to search for 2 disgusting sippy cups.

Glad that first is done!!

Today after church Kelly was playing outside behind the church building as usual. I was ready to go so I called his name and he answered. I was just waiting on him when Sarah said it's Kelly. I look up to see a child lying on the ground next to a big tree so as any mom would I ran. Now I really don't run, and all I could think of was this girl doesn't run. Anyway I by the time I get to him Sarah is tryin to get him up. He was tryin hard not to cry but it hurt and he couldn't or wouldn't put any weight on his right leg. I though please isn't be broken we don't have insurance! LOL. He was ok just a little shaken. Turns out he fell about 8 to 10 feet out of he tree. I am so thankful that he only has some scratches on his side. I'm so glad that we made it through our first tree fall and hope we don't have a repeat performance, wishful thinking I know. Lesson learned we don't climb trees with cowboy boots on and I can run when the need arises!

Are you pregnant?

First, Kasey, I am so sad that we weren't there.  Liam asked if we could go to the party and then he asked if we could go to your house today for Kelly's birthday.  THAT is breaking my heart.  Most days, I simply pretend that you all are just a few minutes away.  It is when Liam asks to see you that it dawns on me that you are states away...ehhh (thank you Debbie Downer)...

On to my own social awkwardness...Totally asked a wife yesterday when she was due....ummm...yeah...not pregnant!!!  I was totally mortified.  She was precious and sweet and has three kids.  Her husband is a dentist.  She has been here 3 years.  I want her to be my friend...and so I commit the most heinous of social crimes.  I'm ashamed and embarrassed.  Nicely done...is all that I can say.

Kasey, I know that you have already heard this story but it bears repeating.

It was just weird!!

We had the kids Birthday party last night and it was great. I mean as great as any party can be with 2 birthday kids and 200 kids. Ok not 200 bit it was a lot of kids! But it was so weird to have it without most of my family. Especially the ones who help me aka my sisters! It was just weird. Mom said it best "it's just not the same without your sisters is it". I felt like that might have been the understatement of the day.

Please know you were both missed greatly!
Love you both!

I am out.

So I leave tomorrow for Honduras and here is what I have to say about that...

1. I bought new underwear, so if they plane goes down and you need to identify me, I am wearing hot pink briefs.

2. I got my eye brows waxed, this has nothing to do with Honduras but I haven't touched them since April.

3. Kasey and I went shopping for books for me to take..... Do you feel bad for taking books that aren't of a religious nature on a mission trip? We decided any book that had romantic weekend, sexy, bachelor, or devil on the cover should not be taken. Ohhh and Kendra Wilkerson's book was not allowed either.

4. I am already packed.... impressed??? You should be.

5. I will not have internet for a week..... That means that you have to post!!! I know you have stories to tell.... you're mothers.... your life is a made for TV movie waiting to happen. And in the movie I better not be portrayed as the loner sister, who is has serious dating problems (which is true). Oh gosh, I am going to be portrayed as Kiki. Shoot me now.

LOVE YOU MORE!
